Hey y'all!

If you've followed along with me these past few years, you may have noticed many changes in my life. The pandemic allowed me to take a break and focus on myself. During this time, I began to explore my gender identity and realized I hadn't been living as my true self. In April 2022, I made the absolute best decision to start gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT). For the first time, the world began to make sense. Sometimes, it's hard to explain to cis folks just how much transitioning has improved my life for the better. I didn't fully comprehend how unhappy I was and the effects it had on my life. Coming up on my 2-year "estroversary" I can proudly say this is the happiest I have ever been. For the first time, I can confidently say "I love myself" and not cringe immediately.

I am privileged to have health insurance and access to quality, trans-friendly healthcare. Unfortunately, as many of us know, the American healthcare system has flaws. Despite having pretty solid coverage, there are certain costs and procedures that insurance won't cover. Like, I mean, I am SICK and TIRED of having to shave my face, but laser hair removal on the face is not considered a "medically necessary" procedure. I've spent hours on the phone with insurance to determine what is covered and what I must pay for out of pocket. So naturally, here I am, making a GoFundMe to bridge the financial gaps. Your support will allow me to exist as my true self without worrying about my safety. My desire for surgery is not to make others comfortable with my transness because that isn't my job. All I want to do is live as Kitt: happy, healthy, and powerful. For privacy, I won't include the specific procedures I wish to pursue, but I would love to talk more about my journey and transition if you send me a message!
